Sorry about this. These emails go out to several hundred people and the items need to be sold on a first-come-first served basis. However, the main reason this happens is that sometimes a customer will return (a handful of) items to us which then go back in stock, but trigger the "back in stock" email to hundreds of people. This is an issue that we are working on finding a work around - to stop happening if only a handful of items are returned - so we're sorry if this has caused you any inconvenience.
